Sobriety or Recovery

Have you ever thought to yourself or possibly heard someone else say, "At least I'm sober today and that's good enough for me."

Is Simple Sobriety enough to keep you sober for the rest of your life?

Do you actually believe that you can keep on being the person you've always been and be happy in your sobriety?

Remember; A sober horse thief is still a horse thief.

On page 82 of the book, Alcoholics Anonymous, it says, "We feel a man is unthinking when he says that sobriety is enough."

Notice, also, the statement made on page 59; "Here are the steps we took, that are suggested as a program of recovery."

Not a program of simple sobriety, but a program of RECOVERY!

You see, we don't need to drink to die from the disease of alcoholism.
